Traditional Healings’ matter… Biodiversity too : On ngangas dealing with forests losses and fauna erosion’s restrictions in Cameroon

Abstract (English)
Many traditional healers in Cameroon are silently dealing with two major problems, entangling as one dilemma : their needs to collect and use biodiversity elements (plants, barks and sacrificial animals) and the threat of losing these natural "ingredients" as their reserves, the forests, are being fastly destroyed by wood exploitation's companies. The threat of losing their healing knowledge is real, as they experienced noticeable changes in the material they use and the technique they set up to produce the healing for their patients. I suggest that they are implicitely turning their knowledge and practices into an ecospirituality.
