Rebuilding Organizational Culture and Business Strategies in an Era of Global Transformation
Abstract (English)
After several years of COVID-19, organizational cultures around the world have changed significantly. Home offices and telecommuting were known before, but only then were they implemented on a large scale. Although many traditional patterns have been restored, this time organizations have changed. Therefore, this panel explores the theme of reshaping organizational culture and examines how organizations and individuals are adapting to rapid global change. Today's society is undergoing profound changes driven by digital innovation, economic interdependence, environmental challenges, cultural intersections, and shifting values. In this evolving landscape, organizations - including corporations, government agencies, NGOs, and local communities - are challenged to reevaluate their existing cultures and strategies in order to remain competitive and relevant to new realities. At the individual level, traditional career models are giving way to more flexible work structures and new forms of value creation. Professionals across industries are redefining their roles in response to technological advances, cross-cultural interactions, and evolving work dynamics. In addition, at the organizational level, new forms of interaction have emerged that have significantly changed everyday interactions. This panel takes an interdisciplinary approach, contextualizing these changes within the broader framework of the global business environment. Incorporating insights from business anthropology, we seek to analyze how organizations and individuals navigate uncertainty, reconstruct their identities, and implement adaptive strategies in response to these challenges. Among other things, we also address the new emphasis on the purpose of organizations, especially corporations, which may be related to development or sustainability. Using case studies and theoretical perspectives, panelists will explore key questions such as
How are organizations redefining their core values and strategic priorities in response to global changes?
What is the role of business anthropology in understanding cultural adaptation in the corporate world?
How do individuals and communities develop new work models and professional identities in a rapidly changing economy?
How are new forms of organizational culture expressed and articulated, for example, in narratives, rituals, or imaginaries?
By exploring these questions, this panel aims to provide new insights into the complex interplay between culture, strategy, and change in the global business landscape.
