Comparative Regional and National Studies on Collective Memory and Cultural Identity: Interdisciplinary Approaches

Abstract (English)
Collective memory refers to the shared and inherited historical experiences of a group, while cultural identity represents the cognitive and emotional sense of belonging to a particular culture. This panel focuses on the manifestations and interactions of "collective memory" and “cultural identity” across different regions and nations, aiming to explore how these two
elements shape the uniqueness of societies, histories, and cultures through a comparative perspective. This panel selects papers that apply interdisciplinary methods from history, sociology, anthropology, and other fields to deeply analyze the similarities and differences in collective memory and cultural identity across diverse cultural contexts. It aims not only to enhance the understanding of cultural diversity and historical heritage but also provide theoretical support and practical insights into cultural conflicts and integration in the context of globalization.
