Abstract (English)

: In the present work, the protagonists of ritual life in several indigenous communities of the current Mexican states of Hidalgo and Tlaxcala will be studied. The women, those who have received the “gift” of healing, and the power to communicate with the sacred forces that care for the communities, they pray for the well-being of the neighbors, and in exchange they will offer food and drinks to the sacred forces.
In community ritual life, the abilities that the wise women have had to learn, preserve and transmit the knowledge that was bequeathed to them by their ancestors, and by the gods themselves, are revealed; The sacred word was transmitted to them, the xochitlahtolli (flowery word), these are pronounced in ritual acts. The wise ones are those who know the community ritual tradition.

En el presente trabajo se estudiarán a las protagonistas de la vida ritual en varias comunidades indígenas de los actuales estados mexicanos de Hidalgo y Tlaxcala. Las mujeres, las que han recibido el «don» de curar, y el poder de comunicarse con las fuerzas sagradas que cuidan a las comunidades, ellas ruegan por el bienestar de los vecinos, y a cambio ofrecerán alimentos y bebidas a las fuerzas sagradas.
En la vida ritual comunitaria se ponen de manifiesto las capacidades que han tenido las sabias de aprender, guardar y transmitir el conocimiento que les fue legado por sus ancestros, y por los mismos dioses; a ellas se les transmitió la palabra sagrada, la xochitlahtolli (palabra florida), estas se pronuncian en los actos rituales.
